This was recorded at the Kerouac Effect in March, 2013. The Kerouac Effect is an annual pairing of poets with musicians. Here, I am accompanying Amanda Arrieta Rodriguez as she performs a poem by American slam poet Nicole Homer.
The bass, electric for once, would be partially capoed at the third fret, giving a tuning of G C F G. I suppose I was going for a “Paris, Texas” type effect with the slide and all.
